Cultivate Good Character

YouthMAX Curriculum Lesson IV

No matter how gifted and talented an individual may be, it is critical to make the right choices. Personal character, a foundation for life, becomes a matter of the choices, we as individuals make.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to describe character as an accumulation of qualities that make us dependable and trustworthy…or not. This lifelong accumulation of qualities is the direct consequence of a lifetime of choices.

Building character means aligning ourselves so that good character can develop.

When we can align these four concepts, we are beginning to form character.

a. Values- what I believe- my values
b. Thoughts – align what I believe with what I think- my thoughts
c. Feelings- what I feel
d. Actions- what I do- how I act
