Fail Forward

YouthMAX Curriculum Lesson II

LEARNING TO FAIL FORWARD TO SUCCESS

PURPOSE:
No one is perfect; everybody fails. Honesty, therefore, becomes the goal we are trying to achieve. Transparency and vulnerability lead to an openness, honesty and acceptance that allow the individual to move towards an idea or goal and eventually to achieve success.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
By the end of the workshop, participants will recognize that failure is not a road block but a speed bump on the path to success. It is essential—there are no detours around it. You have to fail to succeed.

Answers an important question:
So, how do we view failure successfully?

In Failing Forward to Success we answer this question by exploring three fundmaental principles.

a. Make every failure a learning experience
b. Believe inyourself and go further the next time
c. Today matters because yesterday is over
